Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry Update

Even though there are signs that the economy is improving a bit, there are still over 800 families, your neighbors and mine, who continue to need help. They are struggling to pay their mortgage or rent, purchase needed medications and provide a basic necessity - food. The upcoming holiday season will add even more pressure. Our goal is to provide each family in need with the fixings for both their Thanksgiving and Holiday meals, but we need your help.
Our allotment of turkeys and hams from the Greater Boston Food Bank has been drastically reduced during the past few years. This year, in order to meet the need, we are asking you to consider a financial donation instead of actual turkeys and hams. This will allow us to purchase from local vendors the quantity and sizes we need, solve our problem with lack of cold storage space and, save you a trip to the store and then to the Pantry to deliver the turkey or ham. Of course, we will still accept donations of turkeys and hams on-site for those who prefer to donate in person!
Please visit our website to make a contribution on-line or mail a check to Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, Inc., PO Box 1, Ayer, MA 01432. Please notate on the memo line that your donation is for turkeys/hams. We will use all funds raised for this project for the purchase of turkeys and hams for the Thanksgiving and Holiday Dinner Distributions. Any remaining funds will be treated as a general donation and be utilized for other items needed for the holiday distributions or for general food needs.
With your help we can provide our neighbors, who are experiencing some challenges, with not only food during this holiday season, but also hope! My sincere thanks for your on-going support.

Message for the Class of 2020

To the Parents/Guardians/Students of The Class of 2020,

On November 8th, the officers of the freshman class of Littleton High School will be holding a bake sale at the Littleton Middle School from 7am-9am during voting.

From past experience of doing bake sales on voting days, we know that we need as many baked goods as we can get, and as much variety as possible. Because of this, we kindly ask if you could donate baked goods and/or paper goods to help the class of 2020. If donating, please fill out the Google form below. We appreciate your support!

Thank you,
The Class of 2020 Officers and Advisors

LHS Helps with Coat Drive

Message from Humanitarian Club- Operation Gratitude

Dear students and parents of LHS,

Halloween is quickly approaching and we are stocking up on candy as well as costumes. November 1st, however, will find us with large bowls of leftover candy or with candy we either don’t like or can’t eat that we received from trick or treating.

While it is tempting to keep the sweets until next year’s Halloween (or eat it all yourself!), the Humanitarian Club has offered a great opportunity to send extra candy to soldiers overseas who don’t have the chance to share in Halloween festivities back home.

Please bring any candy donations, as well as small donations of toothbrushes or other personal care items, to Mrs. Harvey’s room (room 209) where they will be boxed and sent to American troops. The last day for collection is Wednesday, November 9th

Thank you for your continued effort in spreading joy to our neighbors!

Welcome to LHS News

Welcome to LHS News!

Today, we launch our new blog about the latest news and upcoming events at LHS.

This should help manage and share our growing list of content and assist with searching for recent events and archival information.

We will improve and refine the look of our blog throughout the year ahead.  Our regular LHS Friday Flyer emails will continue with some brief highlights and a link to blog notices and postings.

Sincerely,

John M. Harrington, Ed.D., Principal
