Most Likely to Succeed- Film Screening
On February 6, 2017, Littleton High School will take part in Most Likely to Succeed’s worldwide campaign to re-imagine education.
The acclaimed film Most Likely to Succeed offers an inspiring look at transforming schools and preparing students for the future. Directed by acclaimed documentarian Greg Whiteley, the film has been an official selection of two dozen of the world’s top film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, and AFI DOCS. It’s been featured at leading conferences on education, including ASU/GSV, SxSWedu, Harvard/Goldman Sachs, and New Schools Venture Fund. Audience members call it the most compelling film ever done on the topic of school. In the past year, more than 2,300 communities have booked a screening of Most Likely to Succeed
The purpose of this event is to foster meaningful discussion among educators, administrators, parents, and students about our current school model and a vision for local school innovation. The film will be shown on February 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Littleton High School Performing Arts Center.  It will be followed by a panel discussion and Q & A  session.  This event is open to the public. Most Likely to Succeed: Preparing Our Kids for the Innovation Era

College Planning Seminar for Juniors
The guidance department will be hosting a College Planning Seminar for Juniors in the Littleton High School Performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. Our presentation will focus on the college admission process and a timeline for juniors.

An overview of the Naviance College Management System will also be presented on this evening. With most of the college admission process now completed through the Naviance system, it is important for students and parents to be knowledgeable.  The many features available through Naviance will allow you to develop a systematic and organized college information database that is personal to your student.

Starting in the third term, we will be meeting with our students once a week during their study hall in a Junior Guidance Seminar. The information presented at the College Planning Seminar will be presented to students during the seminar. Topics will also include college searches, college visits, standardized testing, college application and essay requirements.

Juniors that do not have a scheduled study hall will meet individually with their school counselors.

For those unable to attend this presentation, hand-outs will available in the Guidance office.  We look forward to seeing you on the evening of January 26th at 7:00 p.m.
