Good evening,

Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm as we start the weekend on a cold evening.  The month of March is action packed with activities, events, and obligations.  When you have a moment, please see the following updates from LHS.

AP Honor Roll:
Great news!  Littleton was just named to the College Board's AP Honor Roll for the third time. See attached press release.

Littleton is among Twenty-five School Districts in Massachusetts to receive this recognition for increasing access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and simultaneously maintaining or improving student performance on AP Exams.  Congratulations to all our students, parents, and teachers involved with the AP Program!

Littleton Robotics this weekend
The Littleton Robotics' very first competition ever is this weekend at the Granite State competition event. We'd love to see support in the stands from our amazing family, friends, and sponsors! The events are open to the public, so feel free to come up to Windham, NH this weekend. See attached schedules.

Term 3 Progress Reports were posted in the Aspen Portal today.  
Final grades for Term 3 close on April 7th and the grades will be posted on April 14th.  Please feel welcome to call or email teachers with any questions. 

The Littleton School Committee is hosting a Budget Hearing on March 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the Littleton Police Station.  We encourage parents to attend, advocate, and participate in supporting our schools.

Course recommendations for 2017-2018
Teachers have begun the process of making course recommendations for next school year.  Parents and Students will start making course requests in the Student Portal on March 11. Directions will be sent via email next week.

Message from the Wellness CommitteeThe Wellness Committee of Littleton Public Schools will be hosting an informational night for parents and community members about INTERFACE Referral Service on March 28, 2017 at Littleton High School at 7:00 pm. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Message from Littleton Education Fund (LEF)
The Littleton Education Fund (LEF) is pleased to announce the winners of their annual Holiday Bazaar raffle.  LEF sold holiday cards to be sent to staff and faculty and the recipient’s name was entered into the raffle.  A winner was drawn from each school and received a $50.00 Barnes & Noble gift card. The Shaker Lane winner was Mrs. Anderson, from Russell Street Mrs. MacGregor, from the Middle School Ms. Tardivo, and from the High School Mrs. Steele.  Congratulations to all!

March Parent- Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, March 9th. from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Parents may begin booking appointments beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13th.  Appointment booking will close at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6th.  To schedule a parent-teacher conference, go to

Trivia Night at High School
The high school PTA is once again holding its Trivia Night. This year's event will be on Friday, March 31 with the first round kicking off at 7pm. I have attached the flyer and an entry form with the hope that you will pass both along to the staff members in your respective buildings. We would love to have a team from each school!

Teams can pre-register at (just so we have some idea of how many teams to expect) but we will also take registrations the night of the event. Registration fees can be paid the night of the event. $10 per player.

World Language Festival
The World Language Department would like to invite all students, teachers, families, friends, neighbors, and community members to attend the upcoming World Language Festival on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  This is part of our celebration of Foreign Language Week and will include 25 cultural cafes, musical performances, and other entertainment.  

Admission to the evening is free, but food tickets will be on sale for $1 each.  Most food items (sample size) are priced at $3-5.  

All proceeds from this event will help to fund the World Language Book Bag Scholarship. This scholarship is offered to graduating seniors who have excelled in foreign language at Littleton High School.  

Please come to support our students’ cafes and enjoy a delicious variety of ethnic food and drink!

Mark your calendars for LMS's 2nd annual Cornhole event on March 16th. Come out for a fun night of competition for all ages. See attachments about how to register to play and to pre-order pizzas.

Athletics Update
For everyone's advance planning purposes, LPS spring sports start on Monday, 3/20 (always the 3rd Monday in March).
